The number one indicator of a good process is how frequently people follow it. Why?
The purpose of a process is to create a set of outcomes consistently. Therefore, teams must follow the process regularly for its value to outweigh the administrative cost.
Why aren't processes followed?
- It doesn't produce value for the business
- It doesn't produce value for the team using it
- Leadership hasn't connected the dots between the process and the value it creates
